A separate build, in production

Custom CRM for sauna and spa builders

Built for a client, in production

A sauna build is priced off wall area, cladding species and the equipment going inside it, which is a different calculation from anything an off-the-shelf CRM holds. A sauna build-and-install contractor in California runs a CRM built on the WallFlow core for exactly that: a 2D floor-plan editor where the room is drawn and benches, heater, vents, lighting and the electrical feed are placed on it, wall elevations generated from the same plan, and both drawings going out in the client's own PDF alongside the estimate.

The problem

A sauna is drawn before it is priced. The room shape, where the benches run, which heater fits the volume and where the vents clear are all decisions that change the number, and they happen in a sketchbook and a separate CAD file that never agree with the estimate. Generic CRMs hold neither the drawing nor the calculation, so the quote and the plan drift apart before anyone builds anything.

What gets built

The drawing and the estimate became the same object. The room is drawn in a 2D plan editor that handles rectangular, L-shaped, pentagon, hexagon and irregular footprints, and benches, heater, vents, lights and the power feed are placed on it with clearance rules enforced. Wall elevations are generated from that plan, pricing follows wall area and cladding species, and heater sizing is checked against both the contractor's own table and the manufacturer rule, with any disagreement flagged rather than silently resolved.

Same core, different objects

What changes for sauna and spa builders

A vertical is not a coat of paint on a generic CRM. These are the objects the software is built out of, and what each one becomes in this trade.

What it does

  • A 2D floor-plan editor: rectangular, L-shaped, pentagon, hexagon and irregular rooms
  • Benches placed against a wall, on two tiers, with backrests and run length
  • Heater placed as a floor object, with wall snapping and four body shapes
  • Intake and exhaust vents with clearance rules enforced on the plan
  • Lighting and the electrical feed, including breaker sizing and contactor
  • Wall elevations generated from the same plan, so the two cannot disagree
  • Both drawings included in the client-facing PDF alongside the estimate
  • Pricing by wall area and cladding species, with indoor and outdoor wall build-ups
  • Heater sizing shown against the manufacturer rule, with disagreement flagged
  • Client portal with the sauna spec, project progress and before, during and after photos

What your client sees, what you get

Your client sees

Sees the actual room drawn, with the benches and heater where they will really be, before agreeing to anything.

You get

Sends one document where the drawing, the specification and the price were all generated from the same plan.

Your client sees

Follows the build through a private portal with photos, instead of calling for an update.

You get

Stops rebuilding the same sauna twice, once in a drawing program and once in a quote.

What it costs

Re-fitting an existing vertical to a business, its branding, its vocabulary, its pricing math and its documents, starts at $1,500. A build around a business’s own objects and process starts at $4,997. Both are one-time, plus an ongoing Solo or Team subscription. Every figure is on the pricing page, and what a custom CRM costs breaks down what moves the number.

Questions

Can a CRM produce sauna floor plans and elevations?

In this build, yes. The room is drawn in a 2D plan editor, benches, heater, vents, lighting and the power feed are placed on it, and the wall elevations are generated from that same plan. Both drawings go into the client PDF with the estimate, which is what stops the drawing and the quote drifting apart.

How is a sauna priced in the system?

By wall area and cladding species, with the wall build-up differing between indoor and outdoor construction, and a separate cladding figure that accounts for the ceiling and deducts glass. Bench layout adjusts the client price. The rates themselves belong to the contractor and are configured per business.

Does it size the heater?

It shows two numbers deliberately: the contractor's own sizing table and the manufacturer rule for the room volume, with the glass area accounted for. When the two disagree it says so rather than picking one, because that disagreement is a decision for the person responsible for the install.

Is this available as a product to buy?

It is a custom build for one contractor, not a product with a signup page. A comparable build for another sauna business would start from the custom-build pricing on the pricing page, and would be its own repository, its own database and its own domain model.

Talk it through with the person who would build it

No sales team. The founder scopes it, writes the price against that scope, and anything added later is quoted before it is built.
